Common questions

Vail Valley real estate, answered

What does it cost to buy a home in the Vail Valley?
There are currently about 744 homes for sale across Eagle County, with a median list price around $1,995,000. Inventory spans entry-level condos in Eagle and Gypsum to luxury estates in Vail, Beaver Creek and Bachelor Gulch that reach $40M+. Mountain Views Team can pinpoint current pricing for any community.
Which Eagle County community offers the best value?
Down-valley towns — Gypsum, Eagle, and Dotsero — offer the most home for the money, with newer construction and bigger lots at a fraction of Vail prices, about 30–45 minutes from the slopes. Eagle-Vail and Avon are smart mid-valley value picks with quick mountain access.
What is the difference between Vail and Beaver Creek?
Vail is the largest single-mountain resort in the U.S. with a lively pedestrian village and 5,300+ acres of terrain. Beaver Creek is more exclusive, gated, and family-focused, with three connected villages (Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, Arrowhead) and famously uncrowded slopes. Both anchor luxury real-estate markets.
Can out-of-state or international buyers purchase real estate in Vail?
Yes. There are no residency or citizenship requirements to buy property in Colorado. Mountain Views Team regularly represents out-of-state and international buyers, managing the entire process remotely — and through our Minkoba partnership in Valle de Bravo, Mexico, we serve cross-border buyers in both English and Spanish.
Is Vail Valley real estate a good investment?
The Vail Valley has limited developable land, world-class amenities, and strong year-round and seasonal demand, which has historically supported durable values and short-term-rental income in eligible areas. Returns vary by community and property type; our team provides current market data and a tailored analysis before you buy.
Do you offer bilingual (Spanish) real-estate service?
Yes — Luis and Gerardo Avila are a bilingual, born-and-raised Eagle County team serving clients in both English and Spanish, from first-time buyers to luxury and international clients. Se habla español. We guide every client personally from the first conversation through closing day.
